The Body Shop // Vitamin E Over Night Serum-in-Oil

The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum £13.00

I've tried a few serums but would often forget to use them, which tells me one thing - they wasn't doing very much for my skin.
Before I bought this serum I hadn't heard anything about it so it was a blind buy. What caught my eye was definitely the oil formula (and the pipette). All the serums I've used prior to this were cream or gel in consistency.

The Body Shop say -
"Wake up to beautiful skin with new Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, a technical innovation combining the power of a serum and oil to indulge, replenish and recharge skin with moisture overnight."

What I say -
This serum is a skin savior, after the very first use I knew that this was going to become a staple in my skincare routine. I wake up looking but not always feeling like I've had the most amazing 8hrs sleep just like the bottle suggests. Yesterday one of my clients said to me 'Sam, you have amazing skin' and while I've never had terrible skin, I wouldn't say it has ever been described as 'amazing' before. Since using this serum my skin looks brighter, plumper and smoother and it doesn't get tight at the end of the day like it used to.

The best method of application is a couple of drops onto the finger tips then patted into the skin. I tried it straight from the pipette onto the face and I was left looking like someone had chucked chip fat at me, it just wouldn't sink in.
After I apply the serum I use the Embryolisse lait-crème concentré, they make a very good pair.
You can also apply this in the morning if you have very dry skin, I have never tried as I worry it will cause my foundation to separate throughout the day. Although The Body Shop assure you it is fine to wear under make up.

This little bottle of magic is definitely worth it's £13 price tag and although I don't have all skin types, I can't see why it's wouldn't work for everyone.
If you have dehydrated or dry skin that feels a bit merr then I would definiely give this a try. If you have tried this and it didn't work for you, please leave it in the comments so others can see you opinion on it too.

Beauty Wishlist

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk // £16
Big lips are in at the moment and if like me you, are not blessed with them naturally then this should be on your wishlist too.
This lip liner is the next best thing to having lip injections, it allows you to over line your lips without looking like you've done so. Minus the pain, expense and the risks.

L'oreal Paris La Palette // £14.99
Forever lusting after the newest eye shadow palette on the market. I love that the Drugstore/High street make up brands are now bringing out palettes. I want all of them, even though I only have one pair of eyes and probably not enough days in a lifetime to use every eyeshadow I own.

Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation // £32
I've been thinking about buying Nars Sheer glow for a couple of years now but I never actually took the plunge and bought it due to the lasting power not being that great. Since this was launched I haven't heard anything but good thing about it. Apparently it leaves you with that beautiful dewy skin so many of us crave. I can not wait to get my paws on it.
Real Techniques Bold Metals Brushes // £10-£25
Pixiwoo really pulled it out the bag with these brushes, they are absolutely beautiful. I love the original brushes and these are supposed to be even better. I'm particularly in awe with the 301 Flat Contour brush.

MAC Russian Red Lipstick // £15.50
A girl can never have too many reds. This lipstick has never really jumped out at me until I was in MAC recently and swatched it. The texture is really buttery unlike Ruby Woo. The shade seems to be any season appropriate too. Perfect red alert!!

Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Spray Lotion // £7.99
I love all these spray lotions that are on the market at the moment. The vaseline sprays have definitely made moisturising less of a chore. I have the normal pump bottle version of this and I love it. It leaves you with a a very light natural looking tan that can be deepen up with another layer if needed. Like with moisturising I feel tanning with be a bit more on the regular side with the spray.

Have you tried any of these?

The new Barry M's Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint is exactly what it says on the tin.
After 2 coats you have a perfectly opaque nail that dries in minutes. There are 9 beautiful pastel shades (I'm wearing Eat My Dust) ready for the Spring. Fingers crossed they bring out some darker shades.
